Today I’m introducing my newest oil painting in the “Absolute” series, “Absolute: Denial”. Like its predecessors, this is framed and painted on entirely reclaimed wood. Absolute: Certainty

“Absolute: Certainty” Is Certainly Special

New “Absolute” Painting Is Potently Petite

At just over 4 1/2″ wide, this is the smallest “Absolute” painting in existence. However, don’t let the small-scale fool you. “Absolute: Certainty”  has so much to say.  With exposed painterly edges and remnants of the pencil drawing underneath, this is the first painting in the series to harken back to its creation. “Absolute: Separation”

New piece, “Absolute: Separation”

Here is my latest oil painting in the “Absolute” series.  It’s painted on a selection of wood that I’ve reclaimed from an 1800’s upright piano top. You may have seen the other half of the piano top featured as a shelf in my furniture category. After sanding and resurfacing, this piece still has plenty of character that shows through. “Absolutes” To Be In John F. Peto Museum, NJ

Peto Museum Announcement & Invitation

This Friday marks the opening of  “The National Juried Show of Contemporary Trompe l’oeil” at the John F. Peto Studio Museum, Island Heights, NJ.  It is a great pleasure to announce that I will have two “Absolute” paintings on display at the museum until the end of the year.
