Daric Gill - Interdisciplinary Artist Interdisciplinary artist Daric Gill specializes in robotic sculptures & oil painting. He holds an MFA from the University of Cincinnati & a BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design. Gill has received multiple awards, including the 2019 Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award & fellowships in Dresden, Germany, Cuba, & Columbus. He is an ICOM & IAA member. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in South Korea, Germany, Cuba, NYC, & LA. Gill is a full-time studio artist, former adjunct instructor, & runs a free online professional development resource.

Recently I was asked by fellow artist and vintage motorcycle motor-head, Ric Stewart,  to join the ranks of artists involved with the current international fine arts exhibit at the AMA Motorcycle Hall Of Fame. This exhibition, curated by Stewart, includes tremendous artists from across the globe and is presented among some of the most exquisite motorcycles I’ve ever seen.

I remember taking field trips as a child to The Center of Science And Industry (COSI). The long bus ride seemed to take days, but we were always rewarded with a kid’s museum built for fun, tinkering, and science. Even as an adult I am in total wonder of this place. Its magical atmosphere seems almost otherworldly with creative possibilities.

I imagined a day when I was an adult and I could make such splendid futuristic things…

Four of the “Absolute” paintings have recently been shipped off to the Reynolds Fine Art Gallery located in the beautiful city of New Haven, CT. “The Art of Trompe L’oeil” is an exhibition of artwork that creates illusions of three-dimensionality with two-dimensional space. The gallery is just a short walking distance from the prestigious Yale University, the New Haven Green, and the New Haven Harbor. Introducing Eggaphant!

Part egg/part elephant, this little gal is almost always sunny side up. Her sweet disposition makes her the perfect odd-couple best friend to the more boisterous SquidSteak. Eggaphant’s floppy egg-ears give to a slight wagging whenever she’s tremendously happy. She has a particular sweet spot for marshmallows… just don’t get between her and her stash. Take my word for it.
