Situated at the intersection of the Arena District and Short North Arts District, The Hilton Columbus Downtown is truly an art hotel. The building has been specifically designed around an immersive art experience with over 150 pieces of Ohio-based fine art in its public spaces and rooms.  I’m once again privileged to hang the work in the large atrium space visible from High Street at the beginning of the Short North District. The floor to ceiling glass atrium opens onto High Street and provides loads of natural light. This isn’t the first time I’ve hung in the atrium. You can see my hanging winged aeronautics sculpture here. The Short North Art District, with the help of the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority has seen an expansive upsurge in purchased artwork. Part of the private collection of the FCCFA, one of my largest paintings to date will be hung as part of their public art initiative. Look for the article about that coming soon.
