Schumacher Gallery Brings Absolutes Home
by Daric Gill
It’s my great pleasure to announce that six of my Absolute paintings will be on display at the Schumacher Gallery as part of their Elements Exhibition. National circulation has recently kept my Absolute paintings from my home state of Ohio. It will be nice to show them to a home crowd again. This exhibition features a pool of talented artists and can be seen among a private collection that contains a wonderfully large number of international heavy-hitters in the art world.
Exhibition Dates:
January 18 – March 23
Meet-the-Artists Opening Reception:
Friday, January 22, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
ELEMENTS: Presented by The Schumacher Gallery at Capital University
This invitational exhibition encompasses two and three-dimensional works in a variety of media. Selected Central Ohio artists reflect distinctly different styles and philosophical perspectives. It offers an interesting blend of technical excellence and individual visions. The exhibit is co-curated by David Gentilini (director/manager of the gallery) and Casey Bradley (Instructor and Studio Manager of Dimensional Studies at Columbus College of Art and Design).
The Schumacher Gallery’s Permanent Collections offer a wonderfully diverse selection of more than 2500 works for study and enjoyment. These collections encompass 2000 years of cultural history. Since the Gallery’s inception in 1964, hundreds of donors have provided objects of art, funds, and services to create this important cultural legacy.
(Please note: The gallery is closed February 27 – March 6 during mid-term break.)

The Talent!:
I know several of the other featured artists personally and I can attest that this will indeed be a good show. As mentioned earlier, the exhibition has been co-curated by my long time friend, Casey Bradley (instructor at Columbus College of Art & Design) and David Gentilini (director/manager of the gallery). Their curatorial styles will most certainly complement each other.
